History+

The first documented mention of Hohenbrünzow dates back to 1248. From its beginnings, the knight's estate was owned by the von Schwerin family. From 1768, Captain Hans Bogislaw von Schwerin managed the Hohenbrünzow and Strehlow estates. He was followed in 1798 by Lieutenant Carl August Bogislaw von Schwerin, from 1830 by Hennig von Schwerin, and from 1858 by Landscape Councillor Wilhelm von Schwerin. The estate covered an area of approximately 650 hectares.
