The von Eickstedt Family
The von Eickstedt family is one of the oldest noble families in Pomerania. They were first mentioned in a document in 1280. The family owned the Rothenklempenow estate for over 500 years.
Construction of the Manor House
The manor house was built in 1840 by Carl von Eickstedt. It is a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof. The facade is decorated with a central risalit and a portico.
Expropriation and Expulsion
In 1945, the von Eickstedt family was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. The manor house was nationalized and used for various purposes, including a school, a kindergarten, and a community center.
Current Use+
Today, the manor house is privately owned and is being renovated. It is planned to use it for cultural events and as a hotel.
