The Hohne Manor House, a historic estate in Lower Saxony, stands on the foundations of an older fortification and remains in private ownership to this day.
History+
The current Hohne Manor House dates back to the 18th century, built partly upon the walls of an older predecessor. This earlier castle is said to have been destroyed on July 11, 1372, by the Gifhorn robber knight Hendrik von Veltheim during the Lüneburg War of Succession.
