Gutshaus Klockow, an example of Neo-Gothic architecture, is located in the municipality of Galenbeck in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

History+

The history of the Klockow estate dates back to the 17th century when it was owned by the von Oertzen family. August von Oertzen, who lived from 1777 to 1837, served as State Minister of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. In 1838, the von Bülow family acquired the property. After the death of his parents, Carl von Bülow commissioned the Wismar architect Heinrich Thormann to build a new manor house in the Neo-Gothic style around 1853. Characteristic is the three-story central risalit on the courtyard facade. The manor house also temporarily served as a rectory.
