Gutshaus Leezen, a Neo-Gothic manor house from the 19th century, stands on the eastern shore of Lake Schwerin. It is an example of the architecture of its time in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

History+

In the first half of the 19th century, the Leezen estate changed hands several times before coming into the possession of the Evers family. In 1850, Carl Detlef Evers commissioned the Mecklenburg state architect Jatzow to build the current manor house. This was constructed in a transitional style between late Classicism and early Neo-Gothic. After Carl Detlef Evers' death, his heirs sold the property to the Diestel family.
