Levitzow Manor

The manor house in Gieshof, a stately building from the 19th century, is an impressive example of late historicism. With its striking architecture and rich history, it shapes the appearance of the village and tells stories from bygone times.

Architectural Features

The manor house was built in 1899 and presents itself in a style that combines elements of Neo-Renaissance and Art Nouveau. The facade is characterized by ornate stucco work, bay windows, and balconies, which give the building an elegant and sophisticated appearance. The mansard roof with its numerous dormers is also striking.

Inside, high ceilings, spacious rooms, and original details such as wooden paneling and fireplaces testify to the former splendor of the house. A grand staircase leads to the upper floors.

History of the Manor House

The Nahmacher family, who had owned the estate in the village since 1837, had this manor house built in 1899. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1994, the house was renovated and apartments were set up.

Current Use

Today, the manor house in Gieshof is privately owned and is used for residential purposes. The careful renovation in 1994 ensured that the historical substance of the building was preserved while modern living comfort was created.
