History+

The exact construction period of Gutshaus Linstow is not precisely dated, but it is believed to have been built after the Thirty Years' War. Around 1880, the building underwent a renovation that gave it its current appearance. Originally, the estate was owned by the von Linstow family, who had been settled in the area since 1281 and managed the estate's fortunes until 1735. From 1825, the estate became the property of the Grand Ducal Chamber, which subsequently leased it out. After World War II, in 1945, the then tenant Christian Benkendorff was dispossessed. The manor house then served as accommodation for displaced persons, including numerous families from Volhynia.
