History+

The construction of the manor house is dated to around 1800, likely by the von Gröben family. As early as 1805, ownership transferred to the von dem Knesebeck family, who held the property until 1945. A historical connection exists with Theodor Fontane, who conducted conversations here during his research for the “Wanderungen durch die Mark Brandenburg” and dedicated a chapter to the village.
