Nursing home

In the municipality of Galenbeck, in the district of Lübbersdorf, stands Gutshaus Lübbersdorf. It was built in the 17th century upon the foundations of an older castle.

History+

The origins of Gutshaus Lübbersdorf date back to the 17th century, when it was constructed in the Renaissance style on the walls of an earlier castle, originally for the von Lübbersdorf family. In 1839, the building underwent its first expansions. Around 1846, the estate was owned by Wilhelm von Oertzen. Another alteration took place in 1891. The von Oertzen family held the estate until 1927, after which it was parceled out. From 1927 onwards, the manor house served as a nursing home for the elderly. Following a fire in 1953, the building underwent reconstruction.
