Marienfelde Manor
Gutshaus Marienfelde, a historic manor and estate house, is located in the Berlin district of Marienfelde. It transformed from a simple Brandenburg manor house to an Italianate tower villa.
History+
The Marienfelde Manor House was constructed in 1832 as a single-story Brandenburg manor. In 1859, the then lord of the manor, Adolf Kiepert, had it converted into an Italian-style tower villa as part of the garden's expansion into an estate park. After the sale of the knight's estate to the city of Berlin in 1929, the manor house was used by public institutions, leading to several internal modifications. From 1977, the Federal Health Office took over the city estate and used the manor house for laboratory purposes. A restoration, completed in early 2002, made the historical rooms accessible once again.
