The Mönau Manor House, a historic manor and estate house, is located in Saxony. It is today a privately used property with one preserved wing.

History+

The first documented mention of Mönau, then known as Maynaw, dates back to 1394. In 1605, the Mönau knight's estate was recorded in a document of the von Nostitz family of Jahmen. The construction of the originally two-winged manor house began in the 18th century and was completed in the 19th century with the addition of the second wing. During World War II, from 1938, the estate initially served as a girls' camp for the Reich Labor Service.
