Neuhof Manor

The manor house in Neuhof was built in the 16th century on a fieldstone foundation. In 1805 (after the death of his father Joseph Christian Heinrich von Maltzan), Ferdinand von Maltzan received the Neuhof estate near Penzlin together with his brothers Friedrich and Adolph. The estates of Werder, Krukow, Mallin, Rehse, and Wustrow also passed into their possession. Extensive renovations were carried out on the house in 1936/37. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 1998, the von Massenbach family, who own the manor house today, had the building restored. The house contains several apartments.
