Pansfelde Manor

The Falkenstein Manor, a building steeped in history, traces its origins back to the Falkenstein Castle, first documented in 1116. Initially a fortified castle, it served as the ancestral seat of the influential Lords of Falkenstein. Over the centuries, the complex underwent numerous transformations, evolving from a medieval fortress into a prestigious manor house.

The current appearance of the manor is largely shaped by the extensive renovations carried out in the 18th century. During this period, the building was transformed into a magnificent Baroque residence, reflecting the architectural tastes of the era. The manor's rich history is evident in its diverse architectural styles, which tell tales of different epochs and their inhabitants.

The Falkenstein Manor was owned by the Counts of Falkenstein. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
