Priort Manor

The origins of the estate date back to the mid-15th century, when the property was divided between the Stechow and Prigarde families, before being reunited entirely in the hands of the Prigardes shortly thereafter. In 1518, the city of Spandau secured grain lease rights in Priort, and from 1699, its monopoly also included the Priort inn, which was only allowed to serve beer from Spandau breweries. The inheritance register was also kept in Spandau. In 1680, Cuno von Priort, a descendant of the Prigardes, sold both knightly estates to the Cathedral Provost von Grote.
