Ralow Manor

The earliest documented mentions of a princely castle in Ralow date back to the time of Prince Wizlaw III of Rügen (1265–1325), although no archaeological traces of this castle have been found. The noble owners changed frequently. A period began in 1737 with the acquisition by Gustav Friedrich von Bagewitz, whose family owned the estate until 1872 and had the current manor house built and the park laid out during their time. Around 1880, a renovation took place in the style of historicist castle architecture, presumably based on designs by the Berlin architect Wilhelm von Mörner.
