Rensow Manor

The estate was originally owned by the Lords of Bülow. Later, ownership transferred to the Lords of Lowtzow. The manor house was built in 1690 on the walls of a previous building, commissioned by Friedrich von Lowtzow, as a half-timbered structure. Some details are still well preserved on the sides and at the main entrance. In the mid-19th century, the manor house was rebuilt. In 1945, the owners were forcibly dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Afterwards, refugees and displaced persons moved in. Later, the LPG took over the estate and used it as housing for its employees. In 1990, the municipality took over the manor house and the residents moved out. In 2002, it was sold by the municipality and is now owned by the Ahlefeldt family. With a very high amount of personal effort, it is being meticulously renovated. Currently, efforts are being made to restore the entrance area to its original form. The house contains several holiday apartments, which can be rented for a pleasant holiday in a quiet location.
