Rethwischhof Manor, a country house and estate, is situated in Schleswig-Holstein, near Bad Oldesloe.

History+

The origins of Rethwisch date back to 1442, when Knight Hermann von Wyersrode was recorded as its owner. Subsequently, the estate changed hands multiple times, including Mathias von Ratlow and ecclesiastical institutions, before remaining in the possession of the von Heest family for about a century. In 1616, Duke Johann the Younger of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg acquired the estate. After his death in 1662, it passed to his son, Duke Johann of Schleswig-Holstein-Plön.
