Roggow Manor

Roggow Manor

To be privately owned

An estate is first mentioned in a document in 1345, in place of a former Slavic castle complex, in the possession of the von Oertzen family. The estate was destroyed in the Thirty Years' War. In 1666, the manor house was rebuilt in the Baroque style, redesigned in the Tudor style in 1850, and in the Neo-Gothic style in 1921. In 1945, the von Oertzen family was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. From 1945 to 1990, it was used as refugee accommodation, a sales outlet, and a children's holiday home. In 1990, the von Oertzen family was able to buy back the property.
