Roskow Manor

The history of Roskow dates back to 1270, when Margrave Otto IV transferred the village church to Spandau Monastery. Later, the manor came into the possession of the von Bredow family, who also held jurisdiction. After 1650, Hans Christoph von Katte acquired the estate, which remained in family ownership until 1945. The current manor house was built between 1723 and 1727 under Christoph III. Katte. A renovation with architectural embellishments took place between 1880 and 1890. After its expropriation as part of the land reform in 1945, the manor house served as refugee accommodation and later as a polytechnic secondary school.
