Rothenmoor Manor

Rothenmoor Manor

To be privately owned

Gutshaus Rothenmoor+

The Rothenmoor Estate was owned by the von Maltzan family even before 1372. The estate remained in family possession until 1877. After several changes of ownership, the estate came into the hands of Baron von Tiele-Winkler in 1877, who managed it until his forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. The manor house itself was built in the 17th century and rebuilt several times over the years. The last additions date from the 20th century. After the war, apartments were set up in the manor house. The last tenants moved out in 1990. Parts of the estate complex are still in use today. The manor house itself was badly treated in the post-reunification years, and the signs of decay are clearly visible today.
