Schependorf Manor
The manor house Schependorf was built around 1636 by Hellmut von Sperling. Ownership changed in 1699 to Claus Christoph Schack zu Wendorf, in 1750 to Jürgen Friedrich von Kosboth, in 1779 to Wilhelm Ehrenfried Schröder, in 1780 to Caspar Henrich Lorenz, in 1784 to Baron Galle von Gallenfeld, in 1805 to the Engel family, in 1823 to Johann Friedrich von Schnackenburg, in 1832 to August Ortmann and in 1884 to Christian Ortmann.
The current manor house was built in 1810. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. In 2002, ownership changed to private hands. The house was renovated and holiday apartments were furnished.
