Schulenberg Manor

Schulenberg Manor

To be privately owned

Gutshaus Schulenberg is a manor house in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As a former knight's estate, it is a typical example of the homes in the region.

History+

The origins of the estate date back to 1506, when the von der Lühe family acquired the estates of Allerstorf, Fahrenhaupt, Kneese, and Schulenberg. This arrangement lasted until 1824, when the lands were sold to the Sülze Saltworks Office of the Grand Ducal Domain Chamber. Subsequently, the estate was managed by various tenant families. After the Red Army's entry, the manor house served as a refuge for displaced persons, while the associated lands were redistributed as part of the land reform.
