Nursing home

The Gutshaus Schulenburg, a manor and estate house, is located in the municipality of Pölitz-Schulenburg in the Stormarn district of Schleswig-Holstein.

History+

The origins of the present manor house date back to the 15th century, when a farming village named Schulendorf existed on this site. The villages of Schmachthagen and Schwienköben were once subjects of the estate. In 1803, the estate area underwent a reduction when Count Luckner separated the Hohenholz and Krummbek farmsteads and sold them as independent noble estates, reducing the area from approximately 600 to 220 hectares.
