Sommersdorf Manor

The Sommersdorf estate was owned by the Albrecht von Maltzahn family, whose main residence was in Kummerow am See. A previous building was erected in the first half of the 18th century. In 1924, this burned down completely and was rebuilt in its current form in 1926. When the National Socialists came to power, a farm school was established in the house. After World War 2, refugees moved into the house and later rental apartments were set up. Today it is owned by the municipality, which had the manor house partially renovated in 2005. The hall located in the house can be rented for celebrations. The voluntary fire brigade of Sommersdorf is now located in an outbuilding of the estate complex.
