Gutshaus Tauer was constructed around 1910 on behalf of the Buder family, who were the estate owners. Following World War II and the subsequent land reform in the Soviet Occupation Zone, the family was dispossessed. However, the last owner, Theodor Buder, was granted lifelong residency rights. During this period, the manor house provided accommodation for displaced persons and also housed a schoolroom. After Theodor Buder's death in 1953, the building served various public purposes, including a mayor's office, registry office, doctor's practice, and youth club.
