Wahlstorf Manor is a historic mansion in Schleswig-Holstein. It is situated on the banks of the Schwentine River and Lake Lanker and dates back to the late Middle Ages.

History+

The origins of the current manor house lie in a moated castle, which Detlev von Thienen began constructing in 1469. This consisted of a two-story brick building with gabled roofs and stepped gables, surrounded by a moat. A stair tower housed the only entrance, accessible only via a ladder or drawbridge. In 1613, the direct moat around the manor house was filled in, and a gabled extension provided ground-level access.
