In Passow-Weisin in the district of Ludwigslust-Parchim in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Gutshaus Weisin is located, a manor and estate house at an elevation of approximately 60 meters above sea level.

History+

The locality of Weisin was first documented in 1235. From around 1370, the Lords of Weltzien acquired initial shares in the property. They resided continuously in Weisin from 1509 to 1701, occupying a moated castle that was likely destroyed by lightning in 1687. As early as 1689, a new manor house was erected on the estate grounds established in 1590. In 1701, Captain Gerd Friedrich von Weltzien mortgaged the estate.
