Wolde Manor

The history of the place was significantly shaped by the noble family of Maltzahn. They also laid the foundation for its free statehood in Wolde. In the second half of the 18th century, Bogislav Helmut von Maltzahn had the castle in Wolde built. In 1770, his property was pledged to Julius von Burkersrode, and after his death, it passed into the possession of Imperial Count Detlef von Moltke. During GDR times, the castle was demolished.

The manor house in Wolde was built in 1855 by Oswalt Freiherr von Fabrice. A predecessor building from the 17th century, which stood on marshy ground elsewhere, had to be demolished beforehand. The estate owners were the families von Preen, von Burkersrode, von Moltke, von Maltzahn, and the family von Fabrice. The last estate owner was the family von Heyden-Linden, who managed it until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. Today, the manor house is community property and is used for various events. A daycare center is housed in the annex.
