Woldzegarten Manor

The over 200-year-old manor house belonged to the von Flotow family. The von Flotow family managed the estate from the early 15th century until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945.

A previous building completely burned down on November 28, 1738. Adam Ernst von Flotow had to move with his family to the Käselin estate. The last owner, a nephew of Philip von Flotow, took his own life on July 29, 1936. Administrator Wichmann, who then managed the estate until 1945, was abducted by the Russians in 1945 and died in the "Fünfeichen" special camp in Neubrandenburg. In 1949, the estate was used by the LPG (Agricultural Production Cooperative) and a community office was set up in the manor house. In the following years, it also housed a kindergarten, a cooperative store, and a post office. After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, the house was left unused to decay. The Berlin doctor Dr. Wolfgang Droll was able to purchase the manor house and had it extensively renovated. Today, the manor house functions as a hotel with 20 rooms and a cozy wellness area. The barn was also faithfully renovated and bears the name Kulturscheune (Culture Barn). Regular concerts and other events take place here. The large hall offers space for 300 visitors and is also popular for seminars. Furthermore, there is also a barn quarter with 70 beds in the house, which are particularly popular with young people.
