The Manor House of Goseck+
A Jewel of History and Architecture+

The manor house of Goseck, an impressive historical building, stands as a silent witness to centuries of history. Its majestic architecture and rich past make it a unique cultural monument.

History of the Manor House

The manor house was built around 1900. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.

After the expropriation, the manor house served various purposes during the GDR era. It was used as a refugee home, a residential building, and a municipal office. These diverse uses left their mark on the building, but could not diminish its fundamental character.

The Manor House Today

After the German reunification, the manor house was privatized. Today, it is extensively renovated and lovingly restored. The current owners have made it their mission to preserve the historical substance of the building while equipping it with modern comforts.

The manor house of Goseck is not only a private residence, but also a place of culture and encounter. It regularly hosts events such as concerts, readings, and art exhibitions, making it a vibrant center of community life.

Architecture and Surroundings

The architecture of the manor house is characterized by an elegant blend of Wilhelminian era and Art Nouveau elements. The stately facade, the high ceilings, and the spacious rooms bear witness to the former splendor of the building.

The manor house is surrounded by a picturesque park that invites you to stroll and linger. Ancient trees, blooming flowerbeds, and a small pond create an idyllic atmosphere that perfectly complements the historical ensemble.
