Carlsruhe Manor

The manor house in Griebenow is a two-story plastered building with a hipped roof, built around 1840. The exact construction period is not known, but it is assumed to have been built in the middle of the 19th century. The building has a simple, classical design with a central entrance and symmetrically arranged windows.

The manor house was originally part of a larger estate that included several agricultural buildings and extensive lands. Over the centuries, the estate changed hands many times, often through marriage or inheritance. The owners were mostly noble families who played an important role in the region.

The manor house is characterized by its clear, symmetrical structure. The facade is adorned with simple plaster elements, which emphasize the classical character of the building. The windows are rectangular and are arranged symmetrically around the central axis. The main entrance is emphasized by a small portico, which is supported by two columns.

Inside, the manor house had a representative hall and several spacious rooms that were used for residential and administrative purposes. Although much of the original interior has been lost, some historical details, such as stucco ceilings and wooden paneling, can still be found in some places.

The estate was owned by Mrs. Buchard in 1933. In 1945, she was dispossessed and expelled by the communists. After this, it served as an LPG office. Today, the manor house is a ruin.

Today, the manor house in Griebenow is in a dilapidated condition. The roof is partially collapsed, and the walls show significant damage. Despite its poor condition, the building still exudes a certain charm and bears witness to a bygone era. There are currently efforts to save the manor house from further decay and to restore it. However, the implementation of such a project requires considerable financial resources and extensive planning.
