Almerfeld Manor

The single-story quarry stone house stands on a high basement. The floor plan is clearly divided. A three-axis central risalit with an opulent sandstone portal structures the facade. Two lions hold a cartouche with the double coat of arms of the Meschede-Bruch family. A round window is located in the triangular gable made of sandstone ashlar. A grand staircase with a spacious landing leads to the portal, under which the cellar entrance is located. A large cistern for collecting rainwater can be found in the cellar. The originally existing wooden roof cornice was removed during a roof renovation. East and west of the residential house are the cow and horse stables. A sandstone with the family's coat of arms and the year 1746 was attached to the horse stable.
