Alvinghof Castle
The Alvinghof House is a listed building in Bösensell, a district of the municipality of Senden in the Coesfeld district, North Rhine-Westphalia.
The building was first mentioned in a document in 1381. The manor house was built around 1750 by Johann Conrad Schlaun. It is a simple brick building with sandstone articulation. It has a central risalit and is covered with a hip roof. The side buildings are narrow and windowless. The house is one of the first manor houses of the Maison de plaisance type introduced by Schlaun in Westphalia. Since 1749, the house has been owned by the von und zur Mühlen family; it was built for the episcopal vice-chancellor Christian Friedrich von und zur Mühlen.
