Asbeck Manor

The Asbeck House, first mentioned in 1154, was owned by Mauritz Abbey and the Lords of Asbeck.

Originally, the Asbeck House served as a manor house, surrounded by extensive lands. Over the centuries, it underwent numerous changes and expansions. In the 17th century, it was converted into a residential building and acquired its present-day appearance.

The Asbeck House is a two-story brick building with a hipped roof. The facade is characterized by its simple elegance. Particularly striking are the sandstone window frames and the ornate entrance portal.

The Interior

Inside, the Asbeck House impresses with its well-preserved historical details. The spacious rooms feature high ceilings, stucco decorations, and original wooden floors. A special highlight is the grand staircase, which leads to the upper floor.

Today, the Asbeck House is privately owned and is used as a residential building. It is a protected monument and contributes significantly to the historical cityscape of Münster.
