Brabeck Manor
Haus Brabeck is a former manor house in Kirchhellen, a district of Bottrop.
Until 1818, it belonged to the Lords of Brabeck, most recently Bernhard von Brabeck. In 1845, the manor was still recorded as eligible for the Landtag. Today it is in private ownership.
Several stories about the ghost of the ancestress of Brabeck are associated with the house. Whoever made fun of her experienced misfortune. She was finally redeemed after a pilgrim retrieved her remains from the dungeon and had them buried in a Christian manner.
