The Drostenhof in Münster-Wolbeck is a manor and estate house, distinguished by its early Renaissance architecture. With its gatehouse and manor house, it still shapes the townscape today and houses a museum.

History+

The Count von Merveldt family had close ties to Wolbeck since 1389 and held the office of Droste for generations. The oldest surviving part of the building is the gatehouse from 1545, adorned with bay windows. In 1557, the manor house was built. This brick structure in the early Renaissance style features two stepped gables, vertically divided by pilasters.
