Ficht Castle

To be privately owned

The Burghaus Classen (also known as Haus Ficht) is a grand bourgeois residential building in Aachen, Fichthang 20.

The asymmetrical complex on an irregular floor plan was built from 1899 to 1900 according to the design of the architect Friedrich Pützer in a formerly spacious forest park. The architecture of the house, in quarry stone and half-timbering, quotes medieval castle construction. The interior, including wall coverings and furnishings, is largely preserved. The building is a listed monument.
