The former moated castle Haus Krietenstein is a two-story manor house above a high basement. It was built around 1760 by Friedrich Ernst Philipp von Grothaus (1734–1772), with whom the Krietenstein line ended in the male lineage. The right part of the building is said to contain remnants from 1543. On the half-timbered gatehouse, which dates from the 18th century, is the coat of arms of Claus Grothaus/Engel Cath. Pladiese.
