Langendreer Manor

The first mention of the estate occurred around 884 as a farmhouse. In the 13th century, specifically 1266, it was named as a fief of the Counts of Altena-Isenberg in the possession of the Knights of Ovelacker. The Schulten von Dreer, who were resident there from about 1300, made it their ancestral seat until the 15th century. In the 14th century, the farm was rebuilt, with a stone manor house erected on an island surrounded by a moat. This knight's estate, also known as Leitenborg, was first documented in 1436.
