Lütkenbeck Castle

The origins of Haus Lütkenbeck date back to the 13th century, when the Lords of dem Berge owned the estate as a fief of the Münster bishops. Later, the Erbmänner von Drolshagen took over the estate. After their extinction at the end of the 17th century, it passed to the Droste zu Vischering family. Construction of the moated castle began in 1695, probably under the direction of Gottfried Laurenz Pictorius or Lambert Friedrich Corfey, and was completed in 1720.
