Haus Rath, a manor house in North Rhine-Westphalia, is near Arnoldsweiler, a district of Düren. The complex, surrounded by moats, is characterized by its brick buildings and largely Baroque furnishings.
History+
The origins of Haus Rath date back to the 16th century, although the Frankish Rode name suggests an even earlier settlement of the site. Before 1813, it belonged to Freiherr Spies von Büllesheim, before passing into the possession of the Freiherren von Bourscheidt, in whose hands it has remained ever since.

Haus Rath is located northeast of Arnoldsweiler, a district of Düren in the Düren district, North Rhine-Westphalia. It lies at an elevation of approximately 117 meters above sea level, not far from the Ellebach stream.
