Schoppe Manor

An inscription on a fireplace lintel indicates 1709 as a construction year. Another expansion took place in 1771. Some Rococo elements are still preserved, including a window and a door. The property was long owned by the Marck family, who had been settled in Langschede since the 13th century and were associated with Haus Altendorf. In 1825, the house passed into the possession of the Schoppe family. Behind the main building, there is a three-story defensive tower from the 16th century, built of quarry stone with a square base. This tower is crowned by a clock turret with a Baroque dome.
