Haus Voerde is a moated castle in the city of Voerde. Its history dates back to the Middle Ages.
History+
The origins of Haus Voerde as a fief of Werden Abbey predate the year 1200. The property was first documented in 1344. The castle underwent various structural changes, including the addition of a tower on its northeast side in 1688. Since 1950, Haus Voerde has been owned by the city of Voerde.
