Volkardey Castle

Volkardey Manor is an old knight's estate with a turbulent history, first mentioned in 1458 as Volkardeien. It belonged to the old Honschaft Rath, which was part of the municipality of Eckamp from 1815 to 1899. When Rath was incorporated into Düsseldorf, Volkardey Manor came to Ratingen.
