Haus von Hülst Castle

The building was constructed in 1677 for the patrician Menke family, who served as bailiffs for the Prince-Bishop of Münster. The year of construction is visible through wall anchors above the ground-floor windows. Later, the property passed into the possession of the Busch family, after whom the current street Busshook is named. The Buschs also provided bailiffs for the Prince-Bishopric of Münster and the Asbeck Abbey. At the beginning of the 20th century, Haus von Hülst served as the official and residential seat of the then bailiff von Hülst.

Haus von Hülst is situated at Busshook 9 in Legden, a municipality in the Borken district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located at an elevation of approx. 75 meters above sea level.
