Haus Wohnung is a moated castle in Voerde, North Rhine-Westphalia. The complex, consisting of a manor house and a mill, is surrounded by a park.
History+
The origins of Haus Wohnung date back to the early 14th century, when it was built as a castle. It was first documented in 1327. The name of the estate is derived from its first known owner, Arnd van der Wonyngen. In the 17th century, the castle underwent renovation and was transformed into a baroque palace, with a park also being laid out. The associated water mill was already mentioned in 1478 and, despite various alterations, is still in operation today.

Today, Haus Wohnung is privately owned. Visitors can see the remains of the former moat, as well as the three-story manor house with its brick central section and a slate-capped tower. The water mill remains in operation.
