Alster Manor
Alster Manor, a stately country house in Sweden, is primarily known as the birthplace of the renowned poet Gustav Fröding. Located in the municipality of Karlstad on the outskirts of the city of the same name, it now serves as a museum dedicated to Fröding's life and work.

The first documented mention of the Alster estate dates back to 1397. After a fire destroyed the original building in 1760, a new structure was erected on the same site. In 1839, the manor underwent extensive renovations in the neoclassical style, based on designs by architect Johan Fredrik Åbom.
