Blessenohl Manor (Wenholthausen)

The Blessenohl farm was first documented in 1425, with Heinrich von Beringhausen named as the owner. Two years later, ownership transferred to the von Schade family. Between 1741 and 1742, the property was expanded into a knight's estate. Josef Anton von Schade planned in 1749 to convert the estate into a Commandery of the Knights Hospitaller, but this plan was not realized. The von Schade family remained owners until its sale in 1817. The new owner was Caspar von Wrede from Amecke. After his death in 1832, Maximilian von Kleinsorgen acquired the estate and moved his residence there.
