Büttnershof Manor

The manor house Büttnershof is a manor house in the district of Büttnershof, which belongs to the municipality of Iden (Altmark), in the Altmark region of Saxony-Anhalt. Today, the house is used as a gastronomy and accommodation establishment.

The half-timbered part of the current manor house was built in 1750. However, the history of the estate itself dates back to the 15th century. Until the 17th century, the estate was owned by the von Stolting family. Around 1700, Christian Büttner acquired the estate, after whom it is named. Later owners included the Gansauge and von Lucke families. After the knight's estate owner Rudolf Wilhelm von Lucke married into the von Katte family, the property was also referred to as von Katte von Lucke.

In 1895, two wings were added. The manor house is surrounded by several farm buildings dating from the 19th century.

In 1992, mechanical engineer Bernd Prüfert bought the manor house and carried out a renovation. The 3.5-hectare park surrounding the estate buildings was also brought into a well-maintained condition.
