Clee Manor (Schwalmtal)
Haus Clee was first mentioned in documents as a knight's seat in the middle of the 14th century. It was not until the end of the 19th century that the then owner Roßbach had the old building demolished and replaced with a fantasy castle. Since 1911, it has been owned by Kommerzienrat Josef Kaiser, founder of Kaiser's Kaffee Geschäft.
Second demolition and new construction in the style of an English country house from 1936 to 1938. The purchase by the Dominican Sisters of Bethany took place in 1951 with the establishment of the Bethanien Children's and Youth Village.
